Registration has now closed.

Registration Fees:

The registration fee to attend in person covers morning tea and afternoon tea each day, as well as the welcome reception to be held on Monday evening. Please note that lunch will not be provided for each day as there are a wide variety of food outlets on campus directly outside the meeting venue. Lunch will be provided for those who sign up to the ASA chapter meetings that will be held during the lunch break.   

The registration fees for online attendance is a nominal amount to cover costs associated with supporting the online components. This includes the cost of additional technical support and having suitable rooms booked to support hybrid presentations. 



Please note that registration for the Harley Wood School for Astronomy is a separate process - see the HWSA tab for details.


All costs are listed in AUD and inclusive of G.S.T.

Conference dinner: 

The conference dinner will be held at Doltone House Hyde Park in the Sydney CBD on Thursday 6th of July, from 6:30-10:30pm. 

The conference dinner is a separate cost for those who wish to attend, and student tickets are heavily subsidised. Please indicate if you would like to attend the conference dinner when registering for the conference. 

Standard ticket (also for additional guests): $150 p.p.

Student ticket: $70 p.p.

Should you wish to modify your registration, please refer to the link in your registration confirmation email or submit your request in writing to events@mq.edu.au.

Refund of commencement fee

All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing to events@mq.edu.au.

Any refund of the course fee will be subject to the timing of your cancellation:


Extenuating Circumstances

Depending on the situation, you may be eligible for a refund. Such situations which would be considered include:

Any request for refund on the grounds of extenuating circumstances must be supported by appropriate evidence and sent to events@mq.edu.au. If accepted, refunds will generally be processed within 30 days.

Note: If this event is cancelled because of insufficient interest or for reasons unrelated to participants, a full refund will be provided.
